The Houston Diaper Assistance Program (“HDAP”) was founded in 2016 to provide free and reduced-price diapers to needy families in the Houston Metro area who do not qualify for Medicaid eligibility-dependent diaper assistance. It was conceived by founding Director, Brittany Morris-Easley, who became aware of this unmet community need shortly after having a child of her own. Together with Lindsay Alaniz, Elizabeth Eakin, Calli Gerrish, and Kourtney Schroeder, they founded HDAP to help fill the gap for infants and toddlers in need. HDAP is run and staffed by volunteers, including the wonderful Tonya Sharkey, Director of In-Kind Donations. HDAP accepts donations of money and diapers, including open packages.
